Fleet Manager - Slough, Berkshire

Sixt UK is looking to hire a Fleet Manager. The selected candidate will report directly to the Head of Fleet and work closely together with the whole Fleet Department. The Fleet Manager will be involved in all aspects of Car Control activities such as fleet planning, defleeting cars, remarketing, stolen vehicles and a range of administrative tasks. They will work closely with our international vehicle purchasing team, the yield management and other internal departments. Furthermore, there will be close collaboration with manufacturers and suppliers. The ideal candidate will be a motivated individual who is familiar with handling a multitude of tasks, who is a team player and who enjoys a fast-paced work environment. We are looking for a target driven individual with a keen eye for detail to support us with our accelerated growth and expansion plans.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • You will be involved in the fleet planning of Sixt UK. Ensuring that the right cars are in the right place at the right time
  • You will manage and track new vehicle status using supplier reports to ensure planned fleet numbers are achieved
  • In your role you will support the Sixt corporate branch network with In-life vehicle sourcing and special vehicle requirements
  • You will ensure all PDI sites have up to date Sixt corporate vehicle preparation instructions
  • You will be involved in de-fleeting of cars. This entails tracking vehicles due for sale and support branches in de-fleeting vehicles
  • You will be checking all Invoices – Buyback, transport invoices.
  • You will support the remarketing of vehicles bought on risk
  • You will manage, investigate and be fully involved in the process of stolen vehicles. This includes liaising with branches, police and private investigators.
  • You will work together with the Car Purchasing department to ensure that contract deliverables are achieved.
  • A key part of your role will be building relationships with car manufacturers, transport companies and other external parties to deliver the services required.
