Head of Sales - Van & Truck

The Head of Sales will be directly responsible for building and leading a team of New Business Managers. We are looking for an inspirational sales leader who is commercially astute with strong sales and business acumen, leadership and managerial talents, strategic operating skills, and the ability to identify prospective deals and new business opportunities. You will inspire your team to deliver superior results and excellence. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the sales funnel and the ability to develop and execute a sales plan that will achieve targets, as well as a superior understanding of the sales process and the ability to identify improvements. Through coaching and development, you're invested in improving the team’s skills levels and increase the conversion of sales leads to signed business.


Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Detailed product and market knowledge of van rental and leasing market
  • A proven track record of success, over delivery and high performance preferably in a similar organisation or within the rental or leasing sector.
  • Skilled communicator and ability to remain connected to remote and dispersed teams.
  • Proven ability to deliver sales growth through the implementation of best practice processes and training.

Your Qualities

  • Drive results to achieve market penetration for our B2B van rental proposition.
  • Drive revenue growth in line with company targets.
  • Have an in-depth understanding of the sales funnel with the ability to track and measure opportunities throughout the entire new business sales cycle.
  • Provide accurate monthly and quarterly forecasting.
  • Become an industry expert within the van rental sector with a full understanding of the market landscape and competition.
  • Have strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data to drive performance.
  • Track, report data, conduct analysis and specify new reporting where necessary.
  • Direct and monitor performance with a daily focus to ensure sales excellence across the team
  • Recruit the best salespeople and effectively coach/train to ensure continued development of sales techniques across the team.
  • Build a culture of sharing successes and learning, experiences, and knowledge with the rest of the team.
