Sr. Manager, Operations Training

The Sr Manager, Operations Training will achieve training objectives by leading the East Coast Training Facility and staff, facilitating classroom led trainings, creating training materials to align with company goals, follow-up with onboarding and track training completion. The ideal manager also innovates and evolves the position and the operation of the department.

What you’ll do to be sixt-cessful:

  • Facilitate recurrent classroom led or virtual training
  • Continually update training materials to align with operational needs
  • Consistently evaluate expenses and explores new ways to reduce costs and increase ROI
  • Maintain the appearance and operation of the training center ensuring it is up to Sixt and department standards
  • Oversee organizing training dates, travel, and direct billing accounts
  • Evaluate employee and organizational performance to ensure training is meeting business needs and improving performance
  • Assess employees’ skills, talents, performance and productivity and prepare written evaluations with advice for development
  • Role-model and develop a facilitation and training style that exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization
  • Work effectively as a team member with others in training, management and the staff of all other functions
  • Build solid cross-functional relationships
  • Leadership role with the development of strategic plans within the training department
  • Manage, develop, and coach trainers to design, write, and present content
  • Partner with Recruiting Coordinator and Manager of Talent Acquisition to receive accurate hiring projections, create training schedule accordingly, and provide feedback on the quality of hire
  • Align with Regional Vice Presidents to consult and ensure the development needs of their region are met
  • Provide branch-specific training needs and displays flexibility with travel required
  • Support the team and business by completing any other assigned duties and/or tasks
  • KPI driven focus

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor Degree required
  • Minimum 5 years
  • Operations background highly desirable
  • Minimum 3 years supervising
  • Minimum 1 year delivering training
  • Ability to understand matrix organization reporting lines
  • Ability to work well within global network
  • Ability to adapt courses to US requirements
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional written and verbal skills
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
