Executive Fleet Manager

The Executive Fleet Manager plays an integral part within the Sixt UK Fleet Team, providing leadership, guidance, and hands-on support to the Car Control team. The Executive Fleet Manager needs to be involved in all aspects of Car Control activities such as fleet planning, in-fleeting, de-fleeting, remarketing, stolen vehicles and ad hoc tasks related to fleet at branches. - In this role you will work on projects to optimise internal processes, to create efficiencies and realise cost savings. Providing management reporting and data driven recommendations for decision making is a key part of this role. The role is reporting directly to the Fleet Director and will work closely with the operations team, our international vehicle purchasing team, the yield management, and other internal departments. Furthermore, there will be close collaboration with manufacturers and transport suppliers. The Executive Fleet Manager will be able to lead the team by example and provide best practice. The role requires analytical thinking with high levels of numeracy. The Executive Fleet Manager needs to be familiar with managing a multitude of tasks and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment . We are looking for a target driven individual with a keen eye for detail to support us with our long- term growth plans. .

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Lead, organise and help your team to improve through excellent leadership skills
  • Internal process optimisation and creating efficiencies
  • Providing management reporting with recommendations for decision making
  • Responsible for all in-fleeting activities including timely new vehicle acceptance according to fleet planning, vehicle preparation, installation of trackers, loose items etc.
  • Responsible for all de-fleet activities, including organising all logistics with cost implications in mind and hitting monthly targets
  • Remarketing the risk fleet profitably via established and new sales channels
  • Reducing the number of stolen cars by providing timely administration and data to the responsible Security team
  • Progressing the Sixt Fastlane roll-out in the UK in cooperation with our international colleagues

Your Qualities

  • Experience in fleet management or logistics is a bonus
  • Must possess excellent communication, coaching, and leadership skills
  • Positive can-do attitude and keen to build rapport on all levels
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Analytically minded and experienced in making data led decision
  • Excellent level of numeracy
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
