Staff Data Engineer (m/f/d)

Our Consumer Analytics Engineering team is at the forefront of creating deep insights into our product journeys and the experience of our users. Those insights are key for all our product decisions and are our north star for creating additional value for our customers globally. As a Data Architect (m/f/d) in the team, you will be the technical leader of a newly-formed, highly-motivated crew, which has the mission of building and developing the OLAP layer for our Consumer Products engineering division, responsible for all our digital experience products. The goal is to provide a highly automated self-service analytics platform for both batch and near-real time streaming workflows.

DO WHAT YOU LOVE

• Building and further developing a true self-service analytics platform for near real-time and batch driven jobs on top of modern cloud technologies
• Enabling the creation of real business insights by solving complex analytical and software engineering challenges at scale
• Working together with a motivated team to define the next evolutionary steps of our consumer analytics world and having a direct influence on our roadmap
• Architecting and building a robust, scalable, and highly available distributed solutions
• Demonstrating extreme work ethics and integrity to deal with sensitive data while protecting our end-customer

COME AS YOU ARE

• You have several years of experience in evolving modern, cloud-native data-warehouses such as Redshift, Databricks or Snowflake
• You have built robust solutions aiming for no data loss, low latency processing and scale in the past
• You have solid experience in complex data environments requiring advanced data modeling, governance and data management practices
• You have previous experience with near real-time data pipelines (such as Kinesis or Kafka) built on top of AWS or GCP
• You have advanced SQL skills and coding experience in Python, Java or Golang
