Procurement Manager
Sixt is looking for a talented and motivated Procurement Project Manager to join a growing team. They will lead the charge in creating a buying strategy, optimizing costs, sourcing, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance. The ideal candidate enjoys buying, negotiating, and working in a teamwork environment.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Handle the sourcing process for procurement projects (RFI; RFQ; RFP) from the initial specification of needs to negotiation and contracting
- Source suppliers and vendors that meet the company's goals and requirements and negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms
- Diligently review requests for proposals (RFPs)
- Efficiently review and negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers
- Ensure that partners continue to meet company needs
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
- Balance department budgets
- Perform other duties as needed
Your Qualities
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration
- Proven working experience in project or tactical purchasing
- Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in “reading” the market
- Proven track record in contract negotiation and networking
- Proficiency in inventory and RFP management software
- Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers
