Director People & Culture Development (m/f/d)

As Director People & Culture Development (m/f/d) you play a key role in developing our SIXT culture. With a deep organizational and HR knowledge you will anticipate and respond to future needs of the organization. Reporting to the Vice President Global People Excellence, you lead a team of 7 people and show responsibility for the topics Talent Management, Leadership, Culture & Feel Good Development and Learning & Skills Management. That said, you and your team will have the opportunity to develop and implement a new Culture & Leadership Development Journey for our organization from the ground up, laying the foundation for stronger leaders in all areas and levels of our organization.

What you will do:

  • You build a healthy talent pipeline and provide consultancy to management and the global network on the process and identification of talents considering framework and business function specifics (e.g., Talent Check)  

  • You are responsible for challenging business on talent identification and talent diversity for nominations’ accuracy (e.g. by providing appropriate diagnostics) and guide the talent development programs approach regarding new initiatives and best practices 

  • You are in charge to design and implement a comprehensive Leadership curriculum and will drive continuous improvement in our Development and Learning programs (e.g., developing and piloting new content, tools, and processes)  

  • You will be our evangelist for our culture and will design and guide the implementation of associated initiatives to foster our leadership & work floor culture in partnership with different department leads 

  • You plan, develop, and provide corporate as well as customized training initiatives to prepare our employees for future requirements, using knowledge of the effectiveness of methods such as classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences, and workshops (in close collaboration with our business-led SIXT Campus) 

  • You are responsible for enforcing the strategic direction within the organizational scope and steer the linked KPIs

About you:

  • You hold a university degree with above-average grades  

  • You have several yearsof experience in HR development and bring in a strong knowledge of best practices in people development, culture development and learning 

  • You are able to successfully work in a fast-paced environment utilizing your analytical and pragmatic problem-solving skills to drive development and learning forward  

  • You have strong network, coaching, communication and influencing skills and a result-orientated personality and by that led projects successfully and proven that you can think creatively when developing new concepts  

  • You have the ability to work in complex matrix organizations and have strong relationship-building skills, are a team player and a highly effective communicator  

  • You have international work experience and are fluent in both English and German
