Senior Technical Program Manager

About the Role:

The SIXT Consumer Products Technology team strives to continuously improve the consumer experience for SIXT globally. We are working on multiple new digital first initiatives that require working across various platforms and delivering an end to end premium customer experience.

We are looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to partner with the product and engineering teams and drive these initiatives.

What you’ll do?

  • Work with engineering, product, design and business teams to define and deliver complex projects.
  • Create project and program management plans and track roll out of features.
  • Identify, assess, track, mitigate issues and risks at multiple levels.
  • Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities.
  • Must be able to effectively collaborate in a fast paced environment with multiple teams in a large organisation (Software development, QA, Product, etc.,).
  • Apply best practices to the software development lifecycle for projects based on experiences with several agile and blended approaches, as well as effectively coordinating the implementations across teams using different approaches.
  • Remain flexible to changing priorities, open to new ideas and have SIXT's success firmly in your focus.


What do you need to succeed?

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline

  • 8+ years of Experience managing tech teams and complex technical programs

  • Experience in project management & experience working with cross teams & consumer facing projects.

  • Strong familiarity with project tracking and project management tools.
  • Stakeholder management with multiple owners.
  • Proven track record of delivery of complex projects that span multiple teams.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals.
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through actual launch of the product
  • Understanding of computer science fundamentals and high-level design.
  • Experience working with front-end, back-end & Mobile engineering
  •  Excellent communication skills
