    SIXT has its sight set on the Northern Lights. We are looking for a dynamic and energized People and Culture Manager to lead all functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring, administering pay, benefits, leave requests, and all employee relations matters.

    This position will be leading Human Resources in Canada. The ideal candidate will have the following:

    • Understands Employment Law, HR investigations, and accommodation for workplace injury
    • Mentors leaders across the business
    • Supports payroll and benefits

    Key Responsibilities

    • Oversees the development, management, and evaluation of compensation, benefits, employee relations, performance management, training, development and relocation support 
    • Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions across Canada and ensures policies and procedures are in place for compliance
    • Creates and updates company policies and procedures ensuring documentation is current
    • Leads the engagement action planning process and support leaders in delivering effective and meaningful action plans
    • Partners with Employee Relations to investigate and resolve employee relations complaints and concerns in accordance with company guidelines and open-door policies
    • Coaches, trains, and elevates field leadership team in various People and Culture (PC) aspects such as: discipline, performance management, and employee relations
    • Builds and reviews PC metric platforms which align to sustainable field initiatives and objectives

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
    • Thorough understanding of the Canadian Employment Standards Act and Revenue Agency rules and regulations
    • 5+ years of experience collaborating, building, and maintaining positive relationships with employees, management, and union representatives
    • Experience with complex multi-jurisdictional payroll
    • Proficient in Canadian Labor Relations laws and regulations
    • Must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record
    • Ability to travel up to 30% within Canada
