 Benefits:

  • Plan and manage all plans and activities relating to benefits plan administration, employee benefits programs, for the US and Canada. This includes traditional, leave administration, and new to the market programs.
  • Assist in serving as primary regional contact with providers for contract management and benefit vendor negotiations.
  • Primary contact for all Leave Management, Leave Administration, and Time off policies.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and administrating programs in a manner that ensures cost effectiveness and marketplace competitiveness.
  • Work in partnership with the 401(k) and Wellness committees, ERISA counsel and insurance consultants to assure company compliance with Federal, State and other regulatory agencies to limit company exposure to liability associated with fiduciary responsibilities.
  • Remain up to date on benefit and employment law changes and trends and proactively offer input on actions needed to remain compliant with U.S. and Canada employment laws (all provinces), governmental agencies, and fiduciary requirements.

Wellness:

  • Plan, manage, and execute all plans and activities relating to wellness plan program administration, for the US and Canada.
  • Assist in serving as primary regional contact with providers for contract management and wellness vendor negotiations.
  • Partner with the Director of Total Rewards and future Wellness Champion network to increase wellness engagement across the organization, to address employee needs. This may include assisting in the development of a global wellness strategy.
  • Actively communicate with the internal/external Communications Manager, for wellness plan initiatives and wellness rollouts.
  • Monitor and provide utilization data for all wellness programs. This may involve Wellness broker services.
  • Benchmark with best practice companies and trends in the wellness benefits space.
  • Analysis of employees’ health risks and conditions to define areas of focus.

  • Undergraduate degree in Human Resources or related field required. Masters degree (preferred).
  • Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) certification with WorldatWork (preferred).
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification with HRCI (preferred).
  • 5-10 years of benefit experience including health and welfare plans, leave management, time off practices, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
  • Microsoft office skills proficiency, including excel, word, outlook, and power point.
  • 2 years active experience with Workday, UKG, and Kronos. 
  • Skilled in communicating effectively with all levels of employees both verbally and in writing. This includes providing sufficient to provide information, interpretation of policy, and the ability to justify and persuade stakeholders and applicable employees.
  • Flexible and creative, comfortable with ambiguity, organized and detail oriented.
  • Strong customer-orientation. Passionate about people and the customer journey and operational excellence.
  • Shows flexibility and change-orientation to working in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills and sound judgement in decision-making process.
