You’ve completed your studies and are ready to kickstart your career? Then the Headquarter Trainee Program at SIXT is your perfect starting point. Over 18 months, you’ll get to know different teams, projects, and tasks within your field and gain a real mix of professional experience. With curiosity, initiative, and the drive to make an impact, you’ll grow both professionally and personally – gaining broad skills and long-term perspectives.

As part of your trainee program, we offer you the opportunity to spend time abroad in one of our corporate countries.

The trainee program lasts a total of 18 months. In addition to your assigned rotations within the company, you can also focus on elective stations aligned with your area of specialization.

FAQs

When does the Trainee Program start and how long does it last?
The Trainee Program starts on October 1st and lasts for 18 months.

Where will I work during my Trainee Program?
Your main work location will be our Headquarters in Pullach.

How is the Trainee Program structured?
We aim to give you a broad insight into our teams and departments. During the program, you will go through up to six rotations of three months each. Three of these rotations are mandatory and depend on your chosen focus, while the remaining three are elective and planned together according to your interests. Based on your feedback and development throughout the program, you may also have the opportunity to complete one of these rotations abroad at one of our international locations.

What development opportunities does the Trainee Program offer?
You will gain valuable experience through practical assignments and projects in different teams. In addition, you will take part in targeted training designed to enhance your professional and personal skills. You will also receive in-depth insights into our core business of car rental and benefit from numerous networking opportunities across the company.

How will I receive feedback on my development?
We place great emphasis on your personal and professional growth. You will receive structured feedback from your mentor during and at the end of each phase, helping you understand your progress and identify the next steps in your development.

Who will support me during the program?
You will have two main contacts throughout the program. One person coordinates and manages the Trainee Program, while the other serves as your professional mentor in the respective department.

What are the contract terms during the Trainee Program?
Your contract is initially fixed for the 18-month duration of the Trainee Program, with the goal of offering you a permanent position once the program is successfully completed.

What career prospects do I have after the Trainee Program?
Our goal is to place you in a suitable position after you successfully complete the program. We will work with you early on to plan a follow-up position that aligns with your interests and skills.

Step 2

We review your documents and invite you to the next step if there’s a potential match. Trainees will have a preliminary interview with a recruiter and complete an online assessment.

Step 3

Video call! Now we get to know each other in a video meeting - you, your future manager, and possibly a recruiter.

Step 4

Feeling the spark? Then we’ll meet in person at the SIXT headquarters for a final interview. If the vibe is right, we’ll seal the deal!
