Information Security Manager (m/f/d)
At SIXT, we value our cybersecurity team as the first — and last — line of defense in protecting our sensitive data from cyberattack. We are seeking an experienced and vigilant cybersecurity specialist (m/f/d) who can proactively prevent breaches of all sizes, understand when they occur, and take immediate steps to remediate them. In this role, you will help keep cybercrime at bay, using expertise and analytics to monitor our data at all points of contact and recommend solutions for any vulnerabilities. The ideal candidate understands cybersecurity standards and certifications, extensive knowledge of the cyber domain, and has excellent communication and leadership skills.
DO WHAT YOU LOVE:
- You collect data on current security measures for risk analysis and regularly write systems status reports. In addition, you constantly monitor for attacks and run appropriate defensive protocols if a breach occurs
- You conduct testing to identify vulnerabilities and collaborate with the cybersecurity team to update defensive protocols when necessary
- You configure antivirus systems, firewalls, data centers, and software updates with a security-first mindset
- You grant credentials to authorized users, monitor access-related activities, and check for unregistered information changes
- You help lead employee training to prevent phishing and other forms of cyberattack
COME AS YOU ARE:
- You have more than 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity at a midsize or large company
- You acquired profound expertise in IT, including hardware, software, and networks
- You gained an in-depth comprehension of the life cycle of advanced security threats, attack vectors and methods of exploitation
- You have proven experience with leading incidence response teams, monitoring, or similar fields
- You have strong abilities in critical thinking, problem-solving, logic, forensics and a strong technical understanding of network, host and application as well as security controls and best practices
